The Tasmanian relationship registry offers partners in personal relationships many benefits. But these benefits have been poorly promoted. Also, because the registry is an Australian first, it is often misunderstood, undervalued and under-recognised.

InDeed has been established to better promote the benefits of the relationship registry, to educate the public of its importance and to protect the interests of partners with Relationship Deeds.

~ InDeed: Mission Statement

To support and advocate for the rights, entitlements and equal recognition of couples in Tasmanian Deeds of Relationship.

To support and encourage more couples who would benefit from a Deed of Relationship to register their relationships.

To support, defend and enhance the Tasmanian Relationships Act and the Tasmanian relationships registry.

To support and encourage the full and equal recognition of Tasmanian registered relationships in Tasmanian, Australian and overseas law, policy and society.

To support, where appropriate, the establishment of relationship registries on the Tasmanian model in other Australian states and territories and overseas.
